Saucer Magnolias to Be Featured on March 10 Arboretum Tour
Bidwell Mansion State Historic Park and California State University, Chico will show off their collection of Magnolia family trees on a free tour March 10. The tour begins at the gazebo in front of Bidwell Mansion Tuesday, March 10, at 10 am. Leaders of the tour will be Wes Dempsey, emeritus professor of botany, and retired forester and park ranger Gerry Ingco. The walk will last until 11:30 am and cover about 30 different species of trees located on the mansion grounds and on the CSU, Chico campus. Full Story
