Top U.S. Sports Educator Will Present Lecture This Evening

A leading sports educator, Dr. Pat Griffen, will present a lecture "Games We Play: A Conversation About Homophobia in Athletics," tonight, May 6, at 7 p.m. in Holt 170 on the California State University, Chico campus. The event is free and open to the public. Full Story

Student Researchers Going to Washington, D.C. for ‘Posters on the Hill’ Event

posters140x90.gifKevin Parsons, now a microbiology graduate student, will travel with Joe Greene, professor in Manufacturing Technology, to Washington, D.C., this week to take part in the 13th annual undergraduate poster session on Capitol Hill. Former student Paul Morris, who graduated last spring, is now attending the Uniformed Services University of Health Services, in Bethesda, Maryland, and will fly in to meet Parsons and Greene. Big Wins for the College of Agriculture Food Marketing Team

The California State University, Chico College of Agriculture’s Food Marketing Team competed at the Western Collegiate Food Marketing Competition in Anaheim, Calif., April 18-19. Students Among Top Performers at Regional Sales Competition

Professor Tim Heinze, Department of Finance and Marketing, and four students traveled to the Western States Collegiate Sales Competition at Arizona State University in Phoenix and brought back several awards, $2,500 in prize money and a second-place award that was only a hair’s width behind the winning team.
