Simulation Center Coordinator Selected for Advanced Training

Becky Damazo, faculty member at California State University, Chico’s School of Nursing, is one of six nursing professionals in the state to be selected for an advanced training program in clinical simulation. She is one of only three who will focus on pediatric and perinatal health. Full Story

The Way of Asia: Tradition and Innovation in Japanese Pop Culture

The Way of Asia, an exhibition and series of events celebrating contemporary and traditional Asian art and culture, opens today with “Manga Power! The World Through a Child’s Eyes” in the Humanities Center Gallery, Trinity Hall, on the California State University, Chico campus. Manga Power! is an international art education exhibit featuring comic book art as a communicative tool for children to discuss issues facing our world. It runs through Nov. 20. Full Story

Graduates Honored for Performance on Assessment Test

Seventy-eight seniors from the 2008 graduating class of California State University, Chico participated in the Collegiate Learning Assessment, a voluntary national accountability system of institutions of higher education. The test measures writing, analytical and critical thinking abilities and is administered to groups of freshmen and seniors. Full Story
