High-Achieving Students Compete for President's Scholarships

Chico Teams Bring Home Awards from Construction Management Competition
Six student teams from California State University, Chico's Department of Construction Management (CM) traveled to Reno Feb. 7-10 to compete in the 20th Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) Student Competition. ‘Corporate Crooks’ Author To Speak in Chico on Feb. 20
The Ethics Initiative of the College of Business, California State University, Chico is sponsoring a presentation by USA Today investigative journalist and author of "Corporate Crooks," Greg Farrell. Historian Laird Easton Receives Prestigious Fellowship
Laird Easton, Department of History at California State University, Chico,
has been awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship for the academic year 2007-2008. This will permit him to concentrate entirely on finishing his translation of "The Diaries of Count Harry Kessler, 1880-1918," currently under contract with Alfred A. Knopf. Full Story

New Orleans 2007: Students Restore 18 Houses in Five Days
For the second year in a row, students from the College of Engineering, Computer Science and Construction Management (ECC) at California State University, Chico spent their winter break in New Orleans as part of the Rebuild New Orleans Project. Fifty-five students, mostly from ECC, but including students from disciplines across campus, worked on 18 houses of the elderly and disabled and helped move six families back into their homes by the time they left. Cosmic Hike Speaker To Talk on Solar Activity and Global Warming
