California High School Students Compete in Commercial and Social Entrepreneurship Tournament

Eight regional champion teams from high schools across California will travel to Los Angeles on April 28 to compete in a contest based on entrepreneurship and community service. Teams from Santa Monica High School, Santa Barbara High School, Golden West High School in Visalia, Highlands High School near Sacramento, Oakland Tech, Castlemont High School in Oakland, Benicia High School and South Pasadena High School will be competing. Humanities and Fine Arts Offers Trip to Galapagos Islands

The College of Humanities and Fine Arts, California State University, Chico, is offering a trip to the Galapagos Islands and Quito, Ecuador, from Jan. 4 through 14, 2008. The faculty-in-residence is Andrew Flescher, professor of religious studies. Flescher has traveled extensively in Brazil and spent a summer studying wildlife in the Amazon River Basin. Full Story
