Jon Hooper Receives National Award from Project WILD

Jon Hooper, Department of Recreation and Parks Management, was selected for the national Project WILD Outstanding Facilitator of the Year Award. CSU, Chico Places Second in National Advertising Competition

DMarketing students from the College of Business, California State University, Chico placed second in the American Advertising Federation-National Student Advertising Competition (AAF-NSAC) held in San Francisco on April 21. Chico finished between the University of Nevada-Reno, which placed first, and UC Berkeley, which placed third. Full Story

Douglas Orr, PhD, professor of economics at Eastern Washington University, will present a lecture on retirement income security, "Changing Financial and Labor Market Outcomes: Opening and Closing the Door on Privatizing Social Security," on Monday, May 1 at 7 pm. Popular Fair Urges Young People to "Be Cool" Without Drugs or Alcohol

California State University, Chico's 2006 Fun Without Alcohol Fair on Thursday, April 27, will encourage Butte County youth to "Be Cool, Alcohol and Drug Free" with the help of more than 60 interactive booths.
