Fall Ethics Series Brings Noted Speakers to Campus

The Center for Applied and Professional Ethics (CAPE) at California State University, Chico has announced its fall 2006 series of four forums. The first event in the series, on Wednesday, Oct. 18, will address the issue of climate change and responsible action. It features a multi-disciplinary panel drawn from across the University. College of Agriculture Opens First Organic Dairy Teaching Facility in the Western Region

California State University, Chico College of Agriculture recently received organic certification for its dairy facility at the Agricultural Teaching and Research Center in Chico, California. The unit will be a seasonal, pasture-based operation milking 50 jersey cows, with plans to grow to 100 cows in the next three years, creating a unique educational center. Full Story

October Is National Disability and Employment Awareness Month

California State University, Chico is observing National Disability and Employment Awareness month throughout October with a schedule of activities that are free and open to the public. The first event is an information and vendor fair today, Oct. 3, from 11 am to 2 pm in the Free Speech Area on campus. Full Story
