Civil Engineering Students Win Structures Competition
California State University, Chico civil engineering students took top honors in this year's Structural Engineers Association of Central California's (SEAOCC) structures competition. CSU, Chico hosted the event on Sat., Nov. 5, for performance testing of their structures. Full Story

Walking Expert from Israel To Offer Training Session
Monday, Oct. 17, at 4:30 pm at Congregation Beth Israel, on 14th and Hemlock Streets, Edna Buckshtein, MS, parks and recreation administration, will be conducting a workshop on fitness walking. CSU, Chico Hosts Science and Engineering Research Symposium 'Exploring Opportunities of Tomorrow Today'
It's predicted that by 2012, businesses will need two million more scientists and engineers. The California Association of MESA Directors will offer a Science and Engineering Research Symposium for 120 California community college Mathematics, Engineering and Science Achievement students on Nov. 18 and 19 at the Arroyo Room in downtown Chico and on the California State University, Chico campus.
