Forensic Anthropologist Assists in Iraq Exhumations
P. Willey, a board certified forensic anthropologist, spent September and October in Iraq assisting in the identification of victims buried in mass graves. He is expected to return to Chico in the next few weeks. The work he did in Iraq will assist in the government's efforts to prepare for the trial of Saddam Hussein for war crimes. Full Story

International Forum to Feature Sam Edelman
on Kurdish Independence

Graying of the North State Summit:
Meeting the Needs of a Growing Senior Population
On Nov. 4, the Center for Economic Development at California State University, Chico will host the Graying of the North State Project and Summit at the Red Lion Hotel, 1830 Hilltop Drive, Redding, Calif., from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Graying of the North State Summit will showcase the findings of a two-year project funded by The California Endowment.
