College of Agriculture Golf Tournament Raises Scholarship Funds
The agriculture community helped raise more than $75,000 at the 9th Annual CSU, Chico, Superior Ag Wittmeier Ford Golf Classic, which took place Monday, July 19, at Butte Creek Country Club. Proceeds from this event are used for scholarships and other student-related programs, and after expenses are paid, generally net between $35,000-$40,000 each year. Full Story

Kruschke $25,000 Gift to Music Department Underwrites 1921 Steinway Piano Rebuilding
Earl R. Kruschke, professor emeritus of political science, and his wife, Marilyn Ann Kruschke, have presented the Department of Music at California State University, Chico with a $25,000 gift that will underwrite the cost of rebuilding a 1921 Steinway D concert grand piano long owned by the university. College of Ag Fund-Raiser Tees Off Monday
California State University, Chico President Paul Zingg will be one of the 186 players participating in the 9th Annual CSU, Chico Superior Ag/Wittmeier Ford Golf Classic on Monday, July 19, at Butte Creek Country Club. Presidential Election 2004: George W. Bush vs. John Kerry

Student Engineers Intern at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory
Eight students from California State University, Chico's College of Engineering, Computer Science and Technology started summer internships June 7 at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). JPL is located at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena. Professor Hede Ma, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, worked last summer for JPL. He asked representatives to visit Chico and interview students for possible internships. Full Story
