The Geographical Information Center at California State University, Chico has developed the Web-based Sacramento River Recreation and Public Access Guide (RecWeb). The guide offers an inventory of public lands and publicly accessible private property along a 150-mile stretch from Colusa to Redding. Full Story

Denny Gier, professional engineer and a professor in the Department of Construction Management, College of Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, was recently awarded a $1.3 million, three-year research project from Caltrans to study the effects of noise from highway construction and operation on sensitive birds. Chico Preview Day, previously known as Fall Application Day, at California State University, Chico will be held on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 9 AM to 3 PM.
