Former Minnesota Vikings quarterback and National Football League MVP Joe Kapp and Chico Heat owner Steve Nettleton are appearing as keynote speakers at the Friends of SIFE Banquet Oct. 25. Caucasus Teachers to Arrive for Educational Exchange

The Office of Graduate and International Programs, in cooperation with Resources in International Education (RISE), is again hosting Partners in Education (PIE), a five-week professional development program that focuses on civics education. The program, administered by the American Councils for International Education (ACIE) and funded by the U.S. State Department, aims to strengthen the Caucasus educators' understanding of democracy as practiced in school and community. The Caucasus teachers will arrive in Chico on Friday, Oct. 4 and depart Monday, Nov. 11. Full Story

Youth Entrepreneurship Camps Offered

Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) at California State University, Chico and Butte College SIFE will hold their annual Youth Entrepreneurship Camps in Glenn Hall on the CSU, Chico campus. The camps will be run simultaneously in a series of four Saturdays, from 9 a.m.-noon, starting Oct. 5. SIFE's entrepreneurship camps are free to students grades 5-8. Full Story
