University Needy Children's Program Helps Butte Families

For more than 20 years, California State University, Chico's needy children's program has been helping families in Butte County during the holidays through donated gifts and food certificates. This year more than 75 departments within the university are expected to adopt families. Full Story

Arboretum Tours Feature Chestnuts, Fall Color, and Redwoods

There are three remaining arboretum tours this fall on the California State University, Chico campus. The tours, led by biologist Wes Dempsey, professor emeritus, and grounds manager Bob Miles, take about an hour and provide information on the history of the various trees on campus, as well as on their botanical characteristics.
