In 1936, German-Jewish high jumper Margaret Lambert (nee Gretel Bergman), was denied a place on the 1936 German Olympic team because she was Jewish. On Tuesday, March 27, Ms. Lambert, now a U.S. citizen, will discuss her experiences in Nazi Germany at California State University, Chico, in a program sponsored by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in conjunction with CSU, Chico.
