CSU, Chico Has New Associate Vice President for Facilities Management and Planning
Dan Takasugi, formerly program and capital asset manager in the U.S. Coast Guard's civil engineering program, has been appointed as associate vice president for Facilities Management and Planning at California State University, Chico. He officially started work on April 2, 2001. Full Story

SIFE Team Goes to Nationals
The California State University, Chico SIFE team won the 2001 Students in Free Enterprise Regional Competition for the four-year school category on March 27 in San Francisco. This qualifies the team to enter the national competition, which CSU, Chico won in 1999. Full Story

Margaret Lambert, the high jumper who was excluded from the 1936 German Olympic team because she was Jewish, will not be able to speak on March 27 as previously announced. The U.S. Holocaust Museum advised the local NAZI OLYMPICS Berlin 1936 committee of the cancellation, citing personal reasons. Full Story
