Alcohol-related Death of Student

Tax Guide Authors Receive National Award

Uzbekistan Educators to Visit Chico to Study Civics Education
California State University, Chico, in collaboration with Resources in International Studies Education (RISE) and local public schools and organizations, will provide a five-week training program to assist secondary educators from Uzbekistan in exploring and developing civics education curriculum, materials and teaching methods. California State University, Chico, Center for Regional and Continuing Education Presents HIV/AIDS Assessment and Treatment Guidelines Workshop for Mental Health Professionals
California State University, Chico Center for Regional and Continuing Education will present the HIV/AIDS Assessment and Treatment Guidelines Workshop for mental health care providers. This one-day workshop is aimed at marriage and family therapists, social workers, psychologists, nurses, mental health care providers, law enforcement professionals and all others working with clients with HIV/AIDS and AIDS related issues. Nationally acclaimed psychologist Dr. Neva Chauppette will present this workshop, which will be held Saturday November 4, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. in Colusa Hall on the CSU, Chico campus. Cost is $100. Department of Biological Sciences Hosts Alumni Reunion/Career Day October 13-15
Department of Biological Sciences is hosting a special alumni reunion in association with their Career Day on October 13 and Homecoming Weekend, October 14 and 15. On October 13, the Biology Career Day will have approximately 20 professional biologists to talk with biology students about specific careers. Alumni and local professionals participate in four panels: Ecology & Resource Management (11 a.m., Holt 251), Human and Vet medicine (11 a.m., Holt 273), Laboratory Careers (noon, Holt 275) and Research and Industry (1 p.m., Holt 273). Each session is one hour, followed by a reception when students can talk informally with the panelists. Full Story

California State University, Chico Child Development Lab to be Renovated
On Homecoming Day, October 14, the Child Development Lab (CDL) at California State University, Chico will host an open house and reunion to which all child development grads and CDL children and their families are invited for pizza and ice cream and a tour of the facility.
