Documentaries on the Arctic and Climate Change To Be Previewed in Chico
The Northern California Natural History Museum at California State University, Chico will preview two 50-minute documentary movies on the Arctic and climate change. Both films are free and open to the public.
"Washed Away" addresses the anticipated social and geopolitical consequences of climate change. This movie will preview on Monday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. in Holt 170 on the CSU, Chico campus.
"Lords of the Arctic" explores Arctic wildlife and its response to climate change. It will preview on Tuesday, Oct. 31, at 7 p.m. in Siskiyou 120 on the CSU, Chico campus.
These films are being shown to help kick off the This Way to Sustainability II Conference at CSU, Chico, Nov. 2 through 5.
The documentary movie screenings are sponsored by the National Film Board of Canada. The movies are produced by Glacialis Productions in co-production with the National Film Board of Canada and Gedeon Programmes.
