College of Agriculture Gears Up for 5th Annual Field Crops Seminary
On Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006 the California State University, Chico College of Agriculture will host its 5th Annual Field Crops Seminar. This meeting is aimed at helping growers in their production operations and to help those who need continuing education credits for their licenses.
Topics to be covered include resistance management in weeds, label updates, fungicide use in wheat, organic weed control/soil fertility, and an update from the Ag Commissioner's office. From 11:30 to 12:00 Butte County RCD will be presenting Best Management Practices Implementation, Smart Sprayer Demonstration, and Sprayer Calibration Demonstration.
The event will be held in the Shop II classroom across from the Meats lab at the Agricultural teaching and Research Center (ATRC). The ATRC is located at 311 Nicholas C. Schouten Lane, in Chico. For more information contact Lau Ackerman at 530-898-6465 or 530-521-4617.
