Museum Without Walls Lecture Series Begins in October
The Northern California Natural History Museum at California State University, Chico announces its Fall Museum Without Walls Lecture Series. The series begins on Oct. 4 and continues every Wednesday evening through Nov.1. This season's theme is "Health and the Environment."
All programs begin at 7:30 pm at the Chico Area Recreation District (CARD), 545 Vallombrosa Ave, Chico. A donation of $2 per adult is requested. Students with ID are free. A question-and-answer period will follow each program.
The fall series includes the following presentations:
Oct. 4
Dr. Janet Wright, cardiologist, will present "Stem Cells 102-Facts Not Fantasies."
Oct. 11
Dr. Randy Senock, Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences, CSU, Chico, will present "Health and the Environment: From Paradise to Paradise."
Oct. 18
Gail Williams, Butte County Air Quality Management District, will present "Protecting Those We Serve."
Oct. 25
Dr. Linda Davis-Reed, dermatologist, will present "Sizzlin' Skin-Why and How to Enjoy the Sun Safely."
Nov. 1
Dr. Joel Rothfeld, MD, PhD, neurologist, will present "A Stroll Through the Human Brain-Looking at Treatments and Advances."
