Honor Society Holds Initiation and Medallion Ceremony May 5
California State University, Chico’s Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society will hold an initiation and medallion ceremony May 5, at 3:30 p.m. in the Bell Memorial Union Auditorium. A reception will follow.
The ceremony honors 167 Phi Kappa Phi members graduating this spring and 117 new members who will be initiated into the society.
Undergraduate members represent the top 5 percent of their class within their college; graduate students represent the top 2.5 percent within their college.
Founded in 1897 at the University of Maine, Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s oldest, largest and most selective all-discipline honor society. It has chapters on the campuses of nearly 300 colleges and universities in the United States, Puerto Rico and the Philippines.
