Enjoy Sundaes at the Museum of Anthropology
The Museum of Anthropology, California State University, Chico, is presenting a three-part series of crafts, hands-on activities and sundaes for kids and their families on the 4th Sunday of February, March and April.
The first “Sundaes at the Museum of Anthropology” will be held on Feb. 22, in Langdon Hall, Room 301 on campus, from 2 to 4 p.m. Admission is $3 per person, $10 per family of three or four, and $2 for each additional guest.
Museum staff will help children with crafts related to museum exhibits. Some projects include designing and making a pictogram leather bracelet, creating hieroglyph bookmarks, stringing beaded and feather necklaces, and making Japanese Uchiwa fans.
Subsequent “Sundaes at the Museum” will be held on March 23 and April 25, same time and place.
Curator Adrienne Scott said, “This is a great opportunity for families to enjoy the museum together. The staff and I are looking forward to spending Sundays introducing children and their parents to the fascinating world of anthropology!”
Langdon Hall is located on West First Street, between Warner and Cherry Streets.
