The Museum of Anthropology Continues World Exploration Lecture Series into Spring 2004
The Museum of Anthropology at California State University, Chico is hosting a lecture series on the first Sunday of each month during the spring 2004 semester, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Ayers 102.
The series’ lecture topics were created to explore people and places from different areas of the world.
March 7 focuses on “Facing the Challenges of Teaching English in China,” hosted by Liz Taylor, M.A. Taylor will discuss her personal experiences of exploring language and cultural barriers.
April 4 features “A Visit to the Amazon” with Melinda Pacheco. Pacheco is the office manager for the Society of California Archeology. The lecture will include a slide show and a display of items from her most recent trip to the Amazon rainforest.
The final lecture is on May 2, “Health and Welfare in Guatemala,” hosted by nurse Chris Nelson. Nelson recently worked in Guatemala and will discuss the elements of her trip.
