Collective Print Competition Winners on Display at Art Gallery
A collection of purchase award winners from the 1995-2003 Janet Turner National Print Competitions are currently on display at the Shasta College Art Gallery through Tuesday, Nov. 4.
This is the first time 16 winning prints will be seen together as a group. The national competition takes place every two years, attracting 40-50 prints, with four purchase awards given each time. The purchase awards preserve the winning prints for the Janet Turner Print Museum collection at California State University, Chico.
The featured purchase award winners include Carolyn Autry, Mania Dajnak, Richard Finch, Barbara Foster, James Groleau, Yuji Hiratsuka, Karaen Jilly, Brian Johnson, Jimin Lee, Wilfred Loring, Keiko Nelson, James Nickel, Mark Sisson, Jeurgen Strunck, Jon Swindler and Koichi Yamamoto.
