Career Fair to Recruit Current and Future Graduates
The California State University, Chico Business and Technical Career Fair will highlight companies looking to recruit current and future graduates of all majors tomorrow, Sept. 26, from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. in Acker Gym.
The semi-annual career fair will host 60-70 companies, including Wells Fargo, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, PepsiCo, Accenture and E. & J. Gallo Winery. The fair will likely attract 500-1,000 students, said Jamie Starmer, director of the Career Planning and Placement office.
The companies are primarily looking for fall graduates, but there will be a number of internship opportunities available. Students of all ages and majors can gain real-world experience talking with company representatives, Starmer said.
A career fair prep workshop is offered today, Sept. 25, from 4-5:30 p.m. in Plumas 102. Selected companies will be present to give suggestions on appropriate attire, resumes and their perceptions of the fair.
Delta Sigma Pi and Phi Chi Theta business fraternities are the primary sponsors of the career fair, in conjunction with the Career Planning and Placement office. For further information, contact Starmer at (530) 898-5253.
