CSU, Chico Offers Strategies for Successful Business Course Series
California State University, Chico Continuing Education in cooperation with the Center for Economic Development (a SBA/SBDC Lead Center) presents Strategies for Successful Business, a new professional development course series designed for the experienced business owner.
The goal of the Strategies for Successful Business course series is to provide a unique opportunity for business owners and managers to revive their entrepreneurial drive in their quest to improve their enterprises. The course curriculum will focus on leadership development, keeping up-to-date with technology and best practices, time management, business valuation, exit strategies, enterprise differentiation, recruiting talent, and how to develop strategies to grow your business.
“As a small business owner I know how challenging it is to be able to develop your business while you are busy managing its day-to-day operations. At some point you have to ask yourself, ‘do I run my business, or does it run me?’ We’ve assembled a talented team of experience business owners who will help recharge your vision and provide you a chance to step away from the grind and gain some contemporary strategies for success,” remarked course facilitator, Diane Knight, Carpenter Financial Group.
Kathy Carpenter and Diane Knight of Carpenter Financial Group will facilitate the course series which will feature eight guest speakers which include, Bill Bergman, Bergman & Associates, Robin Shield, Heritage Bank, Mike Coogan, fourGdesign, Rik Jimerson, Jimerson & Associates, Julie Shea, Tittle and Company, Scott Winter, LearningChange, Eileen Brownell, Training Solutions, and Sophie Konuwa, Butte College Small Business Development Center.
Strategies for Successful Business course series is scheduled for Tuesdays, Oct. 7, 14, 21, 6:00-9:30 p.m., at CSU, Chico Continuing Education room 107. Enrollment fee is $95 which includes a course binder of resource materials. A second session of Strategies for Successful Business is scheduled for Thursdays, Dec. 4, 11, 18, 2003.
