Regional and Continuing Education to Offer Domestic Violence Update Training and Resources Conference

CSU, Chico Regional and Continuing Education, in partnership with the Butte County Family Court Services, will offer a domestic violence update training conference on Friday, Oct. 11, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Chico Family Masonic Center.

Julia Weber from the Judicial Council’s Center for Families, Children and the Courts will present the domestic violence update training required for all court-appointed custody evaluators and mediators, including the most current research on the impact of domestic violence on children. A panel of victim advocacy experts, counselors and law enforcement officials will illustrate the team approach required to effectively deal with children and families affected by the complex problem of domestic violence.

This conference is designed for those who provide services to families and children and will provide seven hours of continuing education credit.
