Alumni Board Adds Eight New Members
The California State University, Chico Alumni Association elected eight new members at a regular meeting of its board of directors Saturday, April 27.
The new members are Carrie Denniston, Trish Dunlap, Gary Griswold, John Nock, Travon Robinson, Megan Seely, Pat Matthews Spear and Heather Tatton.
Current members re-elected to the board at the meeting are Jane Dolan, Heidi Hannaman, David Little and Thad Salter. All board members serve three-year terms.
Denniston, ‘99 journalism, is an advertising account executive for the Chico News & Review; Dunlap, ’71 home economics, is assistant city manager of Chico; Griswold, ’65 agribusiness, is executive vice president of North State National Bank; Nock, ’89 business/finance, is a farm manager in Chico; Robinson, ’95 liberal studies, is an admissions counselor at CSU, Chico; Seely, ’95 international relations, is president of the California chapter of the National Organization of Women; Spear, ’49 education, is a retired teacher and administrator; and Tatton, ’95 accounting, is a manager for Computer Associates in San Diego.
“I’m very excited about the quality of our new board members and their commitment to the university, the students and the alums,” said Glen Toney, chair of the alumni board. “They bring a great deal of passion, knowledge and expertise which we can utilize to help us achieve the goals of our organization.”
CSU, Chico’s alumni association first formed in 1892. Its mission is to advance the interests of the university, alumni and current and future students through mutually beneficial and lifelong partnerships. CSU, Chico has more than 110,000 alumni worldwide.
