Sonoma’s Family Nurse Practitioner Program Coming to CSU, Chico
Sonoma State University and California State University, Chico Schools of Nursing are collaborating to bring Sonoma’s Family Nurse Practitioner Program to Chico beginning in fall 2001.
Courses will be offered in Chico on Tuesdays between 9 a.m. and 5p.m. via live teleconference from Sonoma. Students will attend classes in Chico’s teleconferencing studio and have the support of clinical faculty in the studio.
The part-time program can be completed in six semesters. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and a current California RN license, as well as meeting other academic and experience criteria.

An information meeting will be held Wednesday, July 11 at 4 p.m. in Holt 359 on the CSU, Chico campus. Wendy Smith, FNP, from Sonoma State will be present to answer questions and to distribute application packets.
