University Features Fun Without Alcohol Fair

California State University, Chico’s Campus Alcohol and Drug Education Center (CADEC) will be hosting the 12th annual Fun Without Alcohol Fair May 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Kendall Hall Lawn located on the CSU, Chico campus.

The fair, whose theme for this year is “Good Clean Fun,” will include entertainment, demonstrations, games and activities geared toward a “no-use” message.

Some of the highlights include the Unity Dance Troupe, the Durham Tiger Turners jump rope team and the Bidwell Junior High Jazz Band. Also attending the fair will be the popular mascots Hometown Bee, Slash (CSU, Chico’s Wildcat Pride mascot) and McGruff, the Crime Dog.

In past years, the fair, which promotes alternatives to substance abuse, has attracted close to 3,000 elementary, junior high, high school and university students.
