Center for Economic Development Hosts Tri-County Economic Forecast Event

On Wednesday, January 31, 2001, the Center for Economic Development (CED) at California State University, Chico will be hosting the Tri-County Economic Forecast Event. The event will be held at the Chico Masonic Family Center at 1110 W. East Ave, Chico, from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

The event will include speakers who will give a local industry outlook, a national and statewide outlook, a California housing market outlook, and a regional and local outlook. The purpose of the economic forecast events is to provide local business and community leaders with vital information about the future direction of local and regional economies.

Dan Ripke, director of the CED, said, “This will be the largest event of its kind in the North State in over three years. Community leaders, business owners and interested residents should attend to hear information on the future of the North State economy.”

The Center for Economic Development is a community outreach organization of CSU, Chico. The center is a non-profit organization that provides technical assistance, applied research and capacity-building assistance to economic development and planning professionals in 20 Northern California counties. The clients served include economic development corporations, economic development districts, community development organizations, consulting firms, small business development centers, small businesses, local government officials, and local, state, and federal government offices.

Registration is $50 per person, which will include a forecast white paper, a county profile, breakfast and a raffle ticket.
