2001 Butte, Glenn, Tehama, Plumas and Lassen County Economic Profiles Available
A press conference introducing the County Economic and Demographic Profile 2001 series for Butte, Glenn, Tehama, Plumas and Lassen counties will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 17, on the California State University, Chico campus in Kendall 207.
The 2001 Profiles are the eleventh annual set published by the Center for Economic Development, California State University, Chico. New features of this year’s profile series include sections on the environment, business and industry, welfare, education, and children.
The 2001 Profiles contain more extensive data on a comprehensive set of categories including health, welfare, home value prices and children. The profiles, approximately 50 pages in length and costing $25 each, have been used extensively by local government officials and business leaders to plan for the future.
Dan Ripke, director of the CED, said of the profiles, “We believe this is the best, most expanded profile series yet. As the economy and the stock market are showing signs of weakness, it is critical for business and community leaders to have the most current information. This profile series has proven to be a vital resource.”
The Center for Economic Development at California State University, Chico is a private non-profit organization specializing in information resources for businesses and communities in Northern California. Their staff expertise includes business administration, public administration, geography, planning and economics.
