UC Berkeley Biologist to Talk on Dinosaurs
Kevin Padian, professor of integrative biology at UC Berkeley, will present talks at California State University, Chico on Thursday, Nov. 30, and Friday, Dec. 1.
Professor Padian is known for his research in vertebrate paleontology, macroevolution and evolutionary biology. He is also curator of the UC Berkeley Museum of Paleontology.
On Thursday, Padian will present a lecture titled Dinosaurs: Overgrown lizards or chickens on steroids?at 7 p.m. in Siskiyou 120. On Friday he will discuss How did birds evolve from dinosaurs? (And how do we know?)at 3 p.m. in Holt 170.
Padian’s visit is sponsored by the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society and the Department of Biological Sciences.
