Re-Entry Banquet Honored Students
On May 6, the Re-Entry Affairs Council at California State University, Chico held an awards banquet and dance to honor the best and brightest re-entry students.
Students received scholarships and certificates or were inducted into the Pinnacle Honor Society.
Marcia Howe received the Winfield S. Mowder Memorial scholarship, and eight students received the David Ware Outstanding Re-Entry Student Award.
Students from each of the colleges received a Ware Outstanding Student Award. Recipients included Garrett Liles from the College of Agriculture, James Fazlic from the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, Dawn McConnell from the College of Communication and Education, Dolly Brown from the College of Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Mitchell Gates from the College of Humanities and Fine Arts, Manette Grant from the College of Natural Sciences and Rhonda Barton from Undergraduate Education and General Studies.
The event was funded by the Re-Entry Affairs Council, the Associated Students, the Office of Admissions, the Provost for Academic Affairs and the Re-Entry Center.
