Research Health Issues on the Internet
The Center for Regional and Continuing Education at California State University, Chico is hosting Online Medical Research (HCSV 198A), a two-day class to be held April 8-9 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Tehama Hall room 131.
This course will teach health professionals and people with medical conditions how to use the Internet to research the latest health and medical information.
Students will learn how to use the Internet to find · 1,000s of health journal articles · Medical job placement resources · Clinical trials and research studies · MEDLINE and other databases · Medical software and shareware
The Online Medical Research course also covers the most important features of the Internet, such as using search engines, subject trees, e-mail and discussion forums, along with how they can be used to find the latest medical information.
The class is open to anyone and is available for either credit or non-credit. The fee for the two-day class is $75. Students participating in this class will receive BRN continuing education credits.
