CSU, Chico Professors Present Scientific Papers at Chemistry Meeting
California State University, Chico professors are presenting 11 scientific papers at the American Chemical Society National Meeting in San Francisco March 26-31.
About 18,000 people are expected to attend the 219th meeting of the society, with more than 8,800 papers being presented.
CSU, Chico is sending nine professors Don Alger, Robert Current, Lisa Hegewisch, Lyndsay Jacks, David Jensen, Randy Miller, Tal Nahir, Dana Ray, Amanda Szymczak and Marty Wallace from the Department of Chemistry to present papers on a variety of subjects.
Topics range from Professor Algers’ paper on “Common misconceptions concerning the sign of some entropy changes” to Professor Miller’s paper on “Introducing fundamental chemical principles and dynamic modeling in the context of global warming.”
