CSU, Chico Helps Prepare Teachers at Workshops

California State University, Chico’s Department of Education is hosting Collaboration Day Friday, March 3, to prepare well-qualified teachers for California classrooms.

More than 150 cooperating teachers, local support teachers and university supervisors will attend the event being held at the Chico Holiday Inn from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Regional educators will hold four sessions throughout the day to share information, ideas and suggestions.

Session one is on California Standards for the Teaching Profession; session two discusses The University’s Part in the Teacher Preparation; session three deals with The Cooperating Teacher’s Part in Teacher Preparation and session four discusses When There Are Problems.

Sessions two and three include breakout sessions for multiple and single subject participants.
